Frequently Asked Questions

  • Should I see a chiropractor?

Chiropractic care can benefit a wide range of people, whether you're experiencing pain, stiffness, or simply want to improve your overall well-being. If you have issues like back or neck pain, headaches, joint discomfort, or limited mobility, chiropractic treatments may help restore function and relieve discomfort. Many people also see a chiropractor for preventative care and overall wellness. If you're unsure whether chiropractic is right for you, we’d be happy to discuss your specific needs and help you decide.

  • What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, we’ll take the time to understand your health history, concerns, and goals. A thorough evaluation, including movement assessments and other tests, will help determine the best approach for your care. If chiropractic treatment is appropriate and no further testing or imaging is needed, treatment can begin the same day.

We’ll also discuss a personalized care plan to support your recovery and long-term wellness. Our priority is making sure you feel comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way.

  • How long does it usually take to get better? Will I need to come in forever?

Every body is different, so healing time varies from person to person. Rather than setting fixed timelines, we focus on recognizing key phases of your care. If you're dealing with pain or discomfort, the initial phase will prioritize relief and improvement. As you progress, your care plan will adapt to support your changing needs.

Some patients see results quickly, while others require more time depending on their condition and lifestyle. Many choose to continue care beyond pain relief because they experience benefits in overall body function and well-being. We’re here for you as long as you feel we’re a valuable part of your health journey.

  • Do you accept insurance?

To provide the best care without restrictions, Muse Chiropractic operates as a direct-pay clinic, meaning we do not accept insurance. Insurance often comes with high deductibles, limited coverage, and complex billing, which can delay or limit treatment. By keeping things simple, we make care more accessible and affordable. If you’d like to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider, we are happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to do so.

We do accept HSA and FSA.

  • Do you accept Medicare?

Unfortunately, we are NOT able to accept Medicare eligible patients at this time. Even if you would prefer to pay all cash, we cannot accept your appointment and your visit will be cancelled.

  • How much will each visit cost?

The cost of each visit varies based on the treatments provided. Each appointment is customized to your needs, so pricing may vary and will reflect the services performed.

  • Will I hear a "popping" sound during my adjustment? Is that normal?

You may or may not hear a popping or cracking sound during your adjustment, and it’s completely normal! This sound, called cavitation, occurs when gas bubbles are released from the joints as they move. It’s similar to the sound you hear when cracking your knuckles. While some adjustments produce this sound, others—like gentle techniques—may not. Either way, the effectiveness of the adjustment isn’t based on the noise but on restoring proper movement and function to your spine and joints.

  • Do you allow walk-ins?

No, we do not accept walk-ins. To ensure each patient receives dedicated, personalized care, all visits are by appointment only. You can easily schedule an appointment online or by contacting us directly.

  • What is your cancellation & no-show policy?

To respect everyone’s time, we require at least 12 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules.

    - Existing patients: Cancellations or reschedules made less than 12 hours before the appointment will incur a $25 late cancellation fee.

    - New patients: A $50 late cancellation fee applies if the required notice is not given.

    - No-shows: Missed appointments without notice will be subject to full financial responsibility for services.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our schedule running smoothly!
